Lights! Camera! Outreach!
Following on the heels of the 1st Annual MS Film Festival, the Upper School Film Festival will provide the HIES community with another night of media impact. The Festival takes place on Monday, April 28th, at 7PM, in Porter Dining Hall.  An as-yet-unnamed guest speaker from the film industry will kick off the event, after which all of the student films will be screened.

Juniors Alex Fujimoto and John Aldridge, Juniors William Ward, Alex Herzog and Neil Kimball, Juniors John Mitchell and Ryan Cox, and Junior Neil Kimball have submitted the Festival's competing films. A panel of student judges will select the top two films, which will receive cash prizes. The first place award also includes the opportunity to visit a local filmmaker's pre-production session for his film, Tres Pescadores.

Tickets will be available for $5.00 at the event, and concessions will be sold. All of the proceeds from the festival will be sent to our Sister School in Haiti.

Volunteers are needed to help with the event. This includes designing the programs, setting up for the actual event, and advertising the festival around the school. Volunteers will also be needed on the night of the festival to sell tickets and assist in concessions. Interested parties, please contact Lara Sullivan.
