What do you get when you give a class full of Holy Innocents’ second-graders bags full of bread, turkey and cheese?

Not a mess, but more than 120 sandwiches for a good cause.

Earlier this week, students in Susan LaRue’s class diligently prepared the sandwiches to donate to Emmaus House, a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. The sandwiches helped to feed the children in the ministry’s afterschool program, as well as the people who come to their doors in need of food.

All the fixings for the sandwiches were donated by the Atlanta Bread Company.
