The Alan A. Lewis Primary School is home to Early Learners through Kindergarten students. In addition to many resources in each classroom, the Primary School building is equipped with its own library, music room, and activities room. The playground is located directly behind the building, providing a safe place for our youngest students to socialize, play and climb during recess.
The Dorothy Sullivan Lower School

The Dorothy Sullivan Lower School is located at the east end of campus next to Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church. The Lower School features, among other things, a computer lab, a spacious playground, and the Curtis Library, where first through fifth grade students love to curl up with a good book.
The Fred Rowan Family Middle School

The Fred Rowan Family Middle School opened in the fall of 2006. The 41,000 square foot building allows Middle School classes to meet in spaces suited to their age and development. The new building includes classrooms, art studios, music and drama rehearsal rooms, a media center, and science labs.
The Upper School

The Upper School includes Groesbeck Hall and the Riley Building. Students in 9th through 12th grades enjoy spending time in the various walkways and courtyards during free periods. The Riley building houses today's most advanced educational resources, including a digital language lab, two large art suites, math rooms with SmartBoard technology and state-of-the-art chemistry and physics classrooms. The Riley building also is home to HIES' administration and admissions offices.

The Fine Arts Building

The Fine Arts Building houses an auditorium, orchestra room, music and drama classrooms, an art studio, and offices for fine arts faculty and department chairs. HIES students of all ages utilize this building on a daily basis to hone their artistic skills.

Holy Innocents' has two modern gymnasiums with basketball/volleyball courts, an indoor track, a Wellness Center housing weight training and other fitness equipment, a state-of-the art training room, indoor batting cages, and bright, spacious locker rooms. Outdoor facilities include a baseball and softball field, a rubberized, six-lane track encircling a grass stadium, and our South Campus practice and lacrosse/soccer playing fields.
Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church

Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church is located at the east end of campus at the intersection of Mount Vernon Highway and Powers Ferry Road. HIEC parishioners founded our school in 1959 and over the years, the church and school have built a strong relationship. HIES utilizes the sanctuary for weekly chapels and special events such as baccalaureate and Honors and Awards Day. Please click here to visit the church's website.
