Overview
The nurses take great care to see to your child’s needs and to determine the severity of illness or injury. While they cannot diagnose specific conditions, there are guidelines that they follow when a child comes to the clinic. The majority of visits require simple first aid care, and TLC. Should your child need to be sent home due to an illness, the nurse will contact you based on the contact numbers you noted on the Student Health Form. The nurses understand that when you are called it will take time to get to the school. Please know that you will not be called unless it is necessary, and that a sick child is better off at home. Students should always be seen in the clinic before phoning parents to sign them out of school or before they are permitted to drive themselves home due to illness.
