At HI Flyers, we recognize and appreciate the fact that your children have spent their day in a structured environment. That is why we are pleased to offer a relaxed and fun environment for the students of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School.
HI Flyers is open from 12:00pm-6:00pm and coordinates closings in accordance to the school calendar. Our program is available for Early Learner to Fifth-grade students. We provide time for our students to engage in age appropriate activities such as art projects, explorers, outdoor free time, and creative indoor board games. We also provide a time and space for students to work on homework as specified by their parents. Our well-trained and talented staff provides a variety of knowledge and experience that enhances our program.
At HI Flyers, students may be registered to be a Regular Attendee or a Drop-In student. The drop in program is based on availability and is typically only offered to Lower School students. Rates are found on the registration forms or in our brochure, both of which can be downloaded from this page. Regular Attendees are billed once a month. Drop-in fees are paid upon time of service. All three forms must be filled out completely and an $80.00 registration fee, made out to HIES, included in order to activate the registration process. Completed Registration Forms must be turned in at the HI Flyers office, located in the Parish Hall, Room 106. Enrollment is ongoing throughout the school year, space permitting. Students are registered on a first come, first serve basis.
Frequently asked questions:
Q- What grades can register for HI Flyers?
A-HI Flyers accepts Early Learners through Fifth Grade.
Q- What kind of activities do my children participate in daily?
A- Each age group has a different schedule. Children are offered a daily art project, explorer (teacher lead group activities), outdoor free play, homework time, rest time(Early Learners), and a variety of age appropriate toys/board games.
Q - How are we billed for the HI Flyers program?
A - All billing is handled by the bookkeeping department. Billing is done monthly and bills are due upon receipt. The HI Flyers office accepts checks for the registration fee and for registered Drop In students.
Q- How quickly does the program fill up? Is there going to be space for my child to register in HI Flyers?
A- HI Flyers students are registered on a first come, first serve basis. There is limited space for Early Learners, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. There is always availability for Lower School students.
Q - I registered my child in the HI Flyers program now what?
A - You should expect a registration confirmation and parent guide in the mail. The HI Flyers program begins after dismissal on the first FULL day of school for each child. We cannot take children before their regularly scheduled HI Flyers time if they are in Kindergarten and have early dismissal during the first two weeks of school. Our well trained staff will pick up your little ones from their classes and bring them to our program located here in the Parish Hall building of the Lower School. Parents should provide a lunch for their child. Please remember that we are a "peanut aware" school, and therefore encourage parents to make sure their child's lunch does not contain nut products. We cannot heat lunches.
Q - Where do I pick up my child?
A - Authorized persons must sign out their HI Flyers at the front desk located in the Parish Hall building of the Lower School. Please be prepared to show a picture I.D. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to pick up a student from HI Flyers.
Q - I registered my child for HI Flyers but now I need to change my schedule or cancel. How do I do this?
A -Parents are welcome to change their schedule for HI Flyers, but schedule changes can only be made to go into effect on the 1st of the month. There is $25 fee from the billing office for each schedule change after the end of September, and the billing office cannot prorate a child's bill.
Q- Is HI Flyers open even if the school is closed?
A- HI Flyers is closed on days when there is no school or when the Lower School is closed or has noon dismissal. On days when there are special events at the Pre-School, children may get out of school early. On these days HI Flyers is not able to accept students before their regularly scheduled start time.
