Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School is proud to announce that Alana Barnett '25 has been awarded a full scholarship to Davidson College, one of the country's top liberal arts schools, through the prestigious QuestBridge program! This highly competitive scholarship draws upwards of 25,000 applicants each year, connecting exceptional students with top universities.
“I am overjoyed that I received the scholarship...most of all, I am proud that I was able to remove the financial burden that sending me to college would have put on my parents," said Alana. "Davidson was my first-choice school, so securing a spot there and a full-ride scholarship is a dream come true."
Alana joined the HIES community in Middle School and is a graduate of the A Better Chance program. The receiving of this scholarship reflects Alana's dedication to academics and leadership. Alana is a member of the varsity track team, multiple academic honor societies, the Program for Global Citizenship, the Student Diplomacy Core and has served as a WHIS coproducer. She is excited to explore potential courses of study at Davidson, including the psychology program, and plans to minor in Spanish to continue her mastery of the language. Please join us in congratulating Alana on this well-deserved honor.
