The first-grade class experienced a day full of wonder on Tuesday, Dec. 9, as they celebrated Polar Express Day! Dressed in their festive pajamas, students kicked off the morning in the Hardwick Family Media Center, which had been transformed into the "HIES Polar Express." From having their tickets punched to meeting the train “conductor” and sipping hot chocolate, every detail added to the excitement. Classes later returned to their classrooms for Polar Express-inspired crafts before wrapping up the day by watching the movie on the PEAK Immersive Screen. Special thanks to our dedicated Lower School faculty and the wonderful parent volunteers who served as “elves” and helped make the day so memorable for our young Golden Bears!
