On Friday, Jan. 20, Justin Bowen, Middle School and Upper School chorus teacher, and Alexis Lundy, Lower School music teacher, performed in "Lift Every Voice and Sing" at Sisters Chapel on the campus of Spelman College. The concert featured the combined choirs of Spelman College Glee Club, Morehouse College Glee Club, Clayton State University, Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church and Lyke House Catholic Center. The event was the world premiere performance of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by Dr. Kevin Johnson as a celebration of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The event included guest speakers, narration, dancers and individual vocal performances by each of the ensembles.
