Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is delighted to announce that seventh-grade student Prakhar Saxena has received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the National Junior Honor Society.
Prakhar was one of just 500 students from across the United States — and one of only five in Georgia —selected to receive this prestigious award. Each student will receive a $500 in a college savings plan to support their educational aspirations.
The National Junior Honor Society’s Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes middle-level students for their commitment to the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship. Candidates for the award must be active and current members in good standing of a National Junior Honor Society chapter. Those selected met or exceeded the following criteria:
- Demonstrate a service mindset by seeking out and voluntarily fulfilling needs to help others.
- Commit to learning, growing and making the most of educational opportunities.
- Take ownership and responsibility as a leader, in title or in action, in school and community.
- Display perseverance, honesty, integrity and ethical and compassionate decision-making.
- Exemplify good citizenship through a demonstrated commitment to supporting and bettering the local community.
Congratulations, Prakhar!
