College Counseling

Some research suggests that student achievement in higher education is predicted by high school grade point averages and standardized test scores. As a result, performance on standardized tests is one piece of information considered by many colleges and universities when making admission decisions. Standardized tests commonly include the PSAT, SAT Reasoning, SAT Subject, ACT, and AP examinations. Sample questions, registration dates, and contact information are available at the College Board and ACT websites.

Test Administration

Holy Innocents’ administers the PSAT and AP examinations. PSAT examinations occur on-campus during the freshman, sophomore, and junior years.

HIES does not administer the SAT Reasoning, SAT Subject, or ACT tests. They are held off-campus.
