Anna Belle Lehman Archives

The Anna Belle Lehman Archives, located in the Malcolm Library, is the official repository for non-current Academy records in all formats. The primary mission of the Archives is to identify, arrange and describe, and preserve those records which document the history of Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School and the activities of the faculty, staff, and students. The Archives also makes those records available for research purposes. Records collected by the Archives include: administrative files, correspondence, campus publications such as catalogues, viewbooks, the Torchbearer, student publications such as The Crimson and Gold (school newspaper) and the Ursidea (student yearbook), scrapbooks and other memorabilia, and photographs, as well as videotapes and DVDs.

  • What is the mission of the Anna Belle Lehman Archives?

    The Anna Belle Lehman Archives of The Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School seeks to preserve the memory and history of the School. To do this, the Archives solicits, collects, describes, and preserves selected historical, legal, fiscal, personal, and administrative records. The Archives makes available to students, faculty, staff, and supporters of Holy Innocents’ for research those materials that illustrate or describe the nature and activities of the School. The Archives seeks to document the history of Holy Innocents’ from its very beginnings to the present using memorabilia, student publications, photographs, artifacts, as well as administrative records and faculty papers.
  • What Kinds of Materials Do We Want to Preserve? 

    The formal records of the School as well as informal records that document the history and the roles that key people in the development of the School have played such as Incorporation Certificates, Board of Trustees meeting minutes, school development plans, building dedication commemorative materials, the Ursidea, as well as student activities, publications, photographs, and athletic awards.
  • How Can We Help Holy Innocents’ Students and Staff? 

    The Archives helps connect the students, staff, and alumni to the history of the school and helps these groups understand how things have been done in the past. We are anxious to have a living Archives to help the school grow and improve.
  • What You Can Do to Help Us?

    Share any Holy Innocents’ materials that you have by offering your collections to the Anna Belle Lehman Archives, or send your gift to Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School, Anna Belle Lehman Archives, 805 Mt.
