Tyler Sant, Director of Enrollment Management

Tyler Sant returned to Holy Innocents’ as Director of Enrollment Management in the summer of 2024.  He previously worked in the college counseling office at HIES beginning in 2012 and served as Director of College Counseling from 2015 to 2021. Additionally, Tyler has coached middle and upper school lacrosse and taught a senior elective course in the religion department.

Prior to his roles at HIES, Tyler worked in Emory University’s undergraduate admission office, where he served as the admission office’s liaison to Emory’s athletic department, to the financial aid office, and to the QuestBridge Scholarship program. In 2012, he was named Emory’s Enrollment Services Employee of the Year. 

Tyler earned a bachelor’s degree from Emory University, where he captained the club lacrosse team and studied abroad twice.  He earned a master’s degree in public administration with a focus in higher education from the University of Georgia and recently completed a certificate in school management and leadership through the Harvard Business School and Harvard Graduate School of Education. 

Tyler lives in Buckhead with his wife and daughter, who is a proud Golden Bear in our HIES Primary School.

Ripken Gorman, Associate Director of Enrollment Management, MS & US (Grades 6 - 12) & Director of Financial Assistance

Ripken Gorman joined Holy Innocents’ in 2024 as the Associate Director of Enrollment Management & Financial Assistance. 

Before coming to HIES, Ripken worked as an Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Georgia. He began his career as an elementary school teacher through Teach for America in Denver, Colorado. He taught third and fourth grade for four years and served as a Grade Level Chair and Instructional Coach. 

Ripken earned undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia, and a master’s degree in teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education.

Claire Benedict, Assistant Director of Enrollment Management, PS & LS (Pre-K3 - Grade 5)

Claire is a past Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School student, is a current HIES parent, and joined the HIES Admissions staff in 2019 after working for many years with HIES communications department.  Claire graduated from University of Georgia Terry College of Business and also received a bachelor’s degree from the UGA Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.  Her favorite places on the HIES campus include the Cross Country trail, the STEM rooftop terrace, and the chapel.

Katie Patrick, Enrollment Data Manager

Katie’s first experience with HIES was as a student, graduating in the school’s fourth graduating class! She is also the proud parent of a daughter in the class of 2028!

Katie joined the Enrollment Management team in 2006 and has worn several hats over the past 18 years. In addition to her work in Admissions, she has served as an Upper School grade-level Advisor, and as Cheerleading Coach. Katie currently oversees the application process, from inquiry to enrollment, for each applicant to the school. 

Prior to her employment at Holy Innocents’, she spent four years in the mental health field, working at both Peachford Hospital and Talbott Recovery Campus. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX, and master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Kay Wright, Enrollment Management Special Events Coordinator

Kay is the parent of a Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School Alum and joined the HIES Admissions staff in 2006. Kay worked many years in Atlanta in the business and non-profit community.  Kay graduated from University of Georgia and attended graduate school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.   Her favorite pastime is spending time with her grandsons.
