HIES Distinguished Alumnus Award

The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes an outstanding alumnus for their personal and professional accomplishments and contributions to their community. This alumnus must embody the Mission Statement of the School (Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School develops in students a love of learning, respect for self and others, faith in God, and a sense of service to the world community.)

Check back for more information on the 2025 award. The winner will be recognized during the State of the School Luncheon and featured in the Torchbearer magazine. Submit a nomination today.

Distinguished Alumnus Feature

 

Mr. Scott Whitehead ’83 is a businessman, volunteer and author. He serves as President and CEO of Whitehead & Associates and Chateau Energy, both of which are in the electrical industry. Among many industry achievements and awards, Whitehead & Associates has been named  among Atlanta’s “Best Places to Work” and “Top 10 Healthiest Employers.” He is also a proud Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School alumni and parent of alumni (Ashley ’19 and Peyton ’17). Mr. Whitehead was recently honored as the 2024 recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award at the annual State of the School luncheon on Wednesday, April 10.

Will Keyes '05 is the 2023 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient. He holds four degrees from the University of Georgia, including a J.D. and an M.A. in economics. He is a U.S. Army reservist and serves as the deputy criminal chief in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Georgia, where he leads a team of federal prosecutors and coordinates law enforcement investigations in 70 counties. He completed Airborne training in March 2023.

Kate Stice Stewart '04 is the 2022 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient. She is the owner of Bauble Stockings, collection of small, hand-stitched, velvet-backed stockings made by women in Haiti. Five percent of each sale's profits currently go back to the community in Haiti, while other profits have been donated to a variety of charitable organizations. More than $70,000 has been donated since 2018.
