Fine Arts Alliance

The Fine Arts Alliance (FAA), established in 2003, is dedicated to promoting and enhancing all Holy Innocents’ fine arts programs including chorus, band, orchestra, theatre, visual arts, and media literacy programs. Through enthusiastic parent involvement, we can provide volunteer and financial support to our award-winning Fine Arts Department. Art education helps broaden a student's perspective on the world and traditional academics. The arts allow a student to express their creativity while challenging their intellect.
The Fine Arts Alliance is proud to offer our support through hundreds of volunteer hours and fundraising. The FAA’s financial contributions support the purchase of equipment and instruments, underwrite guest artists, clinicians, choreographers, and journalists, and provide financial aid for student travel and scholarships for graduating seniors.
One of the highlights of our fundraising efforts is our academic partnership with the High Museum of Art. This partnership allows HIES students and faculty to enjoy behind-the-scenes access to exhibitions, curators and educational staff, and museum spaces during the school year. In addition, free entrance for field trips, professional development opportunities, discounted memberships for HIES families, student internship opportunities, donated catalogs of all exhibitions, and an opportunity to host an annual exhibition of student artwork at the High are just some of the privileges this exciting partnership provides.
The EXCELLENCE campaign, formerly known as Balanced Excellence, is a cooperative effort of the Parents' Association, the Fine Arts Alliance, and Crimson and Gold (the HIES Athletic Association).  Funds raised through the EXCELLENCE campaign are divided equally among these organizations to support a wide spectrum of academic and extracurricular activities offered at Holy Innocents' Episcopal School.

Your $150 contribution to your HIES parent organizations enriches the quality and caliber of academics, the arts, and athletics at HIES and comes with these great benefits:
  • Free season tickets for your family to home varsity games
  • Free admission for your family to HIES theatrical performances
  • Strong parent organizations that play a role in ensuring EXCELLENCE in academics, the arts, and athletics at HIES
