HIES Parents' Association (PA)
The HIES Parents' Association is a volunteer organization whose purpose is to promote meaningful relationships within the HIES community, encourage parent involvement and support the school, its students, faculty and staff. The PA provides opportunities for engagement, service and support; while raising funds in support of our purpose.
The PA's work is organized around three key pillars:
Community & Connection
Creating opportunities for families to build relationships, engage with school life and foster a welcoming and inclusive community. Through community life events and volunteer opportunities, the PA helps strengthen connections within the HIES community. Our Bear Benefits program raises funds for the school, while strengthening partnerships with local businesses throughout the Greater Atlanta community.
Communicaiton & Representation
Helping parents stay informed, connected and engaged through Black Parent Affinity Group (BPAG), Holy Innocents' Cultral Awareness and Acceptance Partners (HICAAP), grade and division level representatives, newsletters, parent education programs and ongoing collaboration with school leadership.
Fundraising & School Support
Through the generosity of our families and the dedication of our volunteers, the PA raises funds that provide meaningful enhancements beyond the school's operating budget, directly benefiting students, faculty, staff and the broader HIES community. The PA supports the Annual Fund, capital campaigns, financial aid efforts and supports many of the programs and traditions that make HIES such a unique community.
