Dr. Beth-Sarah Wright, Director of Enrollment Management
Path to HIES OEM: After graduating from Princeton, Cambridge and New York Universities, was a college professor at NYU and Spelman College teaching expository writing and African Diaspora and the World studies. Studied and lived around the world from Edinburgh, Scotland to San Juan, Puerto Rico. An author of 5 books, most recently: DIGNITY: Seven Strategies to Create Authentic Community
Hidden passion: I love learning a new word every day. Current favorite word: toothsome

Favorite school event of the year: It's a tie between pep-rallies and the Halloween parade.

My best piece of advice for prospective parents: Keep your own council, you know your child best!
Favorite HIES memory as a student: Basketball games and overnight class retreats
Length of time at HIES: Seven years as an HIES student, going on eleven years as an HIES parent, and entering my 17th year as an HIES employee
Path to HIES OEM: After graduating from SMU and completing a Master’s degree at Northeastern University in Boston, I worked as a mental health counselor for four years before shifting gears and returning to HIES to join the Office of Enrollment Management.

Kay Wright, Enrollment Management/Special Events Coordinator
University of Georgia graduate; Works in admissions at Holy Innocents’ going on sixteen years. Former HIES parent; Chosen to work with 2019-20 Scholar in Residence on the Storytelling Project; Enjoys spending time with her grandsons.
Path to HIES OEM: After graduating from the University of Georgia and attending graduate school at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I worked for about twenty years in the business and non-profit community. When my children enrolled at Holy Innocents’, I volunteered in the Lower School library for two years. I joined the admissions staff over 15 years ago and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it.
