  • All-School Open House - Dec. 1, 10am

    The 2018 all-school Open House will take place on Saturday, December 1, from 10am-1pm. This is the perfect opportunity for parents and children of ALL ages to interact and engage with HIES faculty and students in actual classroom activities and projects.  You will have the opportunity to tour the campus, get a taste of the academic experience, hear from our administrator and learn first-hand how Holy Innocents' has gained its reputation as one of the finest independent schools in the Southeast.

    All divisions – Primary, Lower, Middle and Upper Schools – will participate in the day's events. Administrators, faculty, coaches, fine arts teachers, grade-level deans, chaplains, admissions representatives, as well as officers of the Parents' Association, Athletic Association, and Fine Arts Alliance, will all be on hand to discuss the many different programs and opportunities your family will enjoy at HIES. 
  • Campus Tours

    Holy Innocents' offers campus tours most days of the week. Admissions directors will take you on Primary, Lower and Middle School tours.  Golden Bear Guides, a select group of 10th-12th graders, will take you on Upper School tours and end with an Admissions Wrap-Up with Admissions directors.  

    Pre-K 3 through 8th grade tours take place October through February. Upper School tours take place November through February. 
    Reservations are required to maintain small tour groups and the dates will be open for registration, through Ravenna, starting in mid-September. 
     
    * When applying children to multiple divisions, please plan to register and attend a tour for each individual applicant, as each tour is specifically geared toward that division. 
    Primary School: Pre-K3 - Kindergarten
    Lower School: 1st - 5th grades
    Middle School: 6th - 8th grades
    Upper School: 9th - 12th grades
  • Informational Admission Coffee - Dec. 18, 9am

    Don't miss the opportunity to hear from our Head of School and Associate Head of School and learn first-hand how Holy Innocents' has gained its reputation as one of the finest independent schools in the Southeast. Hosted by HIES parents and the Office of Enrollment Management

  • STEMsational Saturday (ages 3-6) - Nov. 3, 9am

    9-11 am

    Kids and parents, join us in the Primary School to earn your HIES Engineering Certificate.  Participants will visit a variety of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities, earning stamps of approval in their engineering booklets, trying to earn the HI-est level of Engineering.  Some of the activities will include:  Launching a Straw Rocket, Building a Sail Car, Completing a Circuit, Programming a Robot, and much much more!

  • Primary & Lower School 101, Nov. 14 at 9:30am

    Come discover how the Primary and Lower School curricula and co-curricular opportunities provide the educational foundation for an HIES graduate. You will hear from our Primary and Lower School Principals about how HIES develops this early love of learning and encourages students to evolve into the confident, ambitious learners they are gifted to be.

    This is also a unique opportunity to "play the tape forward" and experience what HIES has to offer your child as a Middle or Upper School student. This exclusive conversation is with the “HIES Brain Trust”- our Associate Head of School who oversees curriculum development and our PK3-12th grade Program Directors in STEAM, Global Studies, Humanities and the Fine Arts. Learn what the future holds at HIES!

    This event is open to families applying to all grades and will take place in the Lower School Curtis Library. Please RSVP through Ravenna.

  • Middle School 101 - Dec. 12, 9am

    The Middle School at HIES balances the rigorous demands of a college-preparatory school with the needs of a growing adolescent.  Come hear from the MS Principal how we encourage students in these transformational years to become academically engaged and independent self-advocates who embrace their own development and are prepared to enter the pace and demands of our Upper School.

    This is also a unique opportunity to "play the tape forward" and experience what HIES has to offer your child as an Upper School student. This exclusive conversation is with the “HIES Brain Trust”- our Associate Head of School who oversees curriculum development and our PK3-12th grade Program Directors in STEAM, Global Studies, Humanities and the Fine Arts.   • Upper School 101 - Jan. 17, 10am

    In an Upper School with offerings more typical of a college, students have the opportunity to create their own unique four-year plan. The paths to success are many and our Head of School, Upper School Principal and 9th Grade Deans invite you to learn more about the profile of an HIES Graduate.

    This event is open to families applying to all grades and will take place in the STEM Dining Hall on January 17th from 9-10am.

  • Shadow Days

    There is no better way for your rising 6th-11th grade student to experience what it's like to be an HIES student than by shadowing a current student and spending time in our classes. Shadowing is a wonderful opportunity for your student; however, it is not a required part of the application process.

    Middle School Shadowing is available from October through February and rising 6-8th grade students are invited to shadow a current student, attend one class, lunch and recess. You must register your student through Ravenna. If you wish for your student to have a Shadowing experience, please register them as soon as possible, as space is limited. Shadow appointments will be open for registration, through Ravenna, starting in mid-September. Shadowing is not a required part of the application process.

    Upper School Shadowing is available in November, January and February for rising 9th-12th graders). You must register your student through Ravenna. If you wish for your student to have a Shadowing experience, please register them as soon as possible, as space is limited. Shadow appointments will be open for registration, through Ravenna, starting in mid-September. Shadowing is not a required part of the application process.

  • Athletic and Fine Arts Events

    You and your family are welcome to attend any upcoming athletic or fine arts events, and we encourage you to do so! All upcoming events of interest can be found on the HIES calendar. 

    Please refer to our calendar or contact our office (404-303-2150 ext 276) with any questions. Sports will be in full swing starting in August and our 5th grade, Middle and Upper School theater productions will dazzle you with their professionalism! Stay tuned for more details!
